My only concerns for them going forward would be price and location. Their prices are a little high, but I don't mind for the atmosphere and some unique menu items. The location is tough because of the riff raff across the street. I would not feel safe walking to the rear parking lot at night if I was a woman or even by myself to be honest.
Went about a year ago with my wife and mom for lunch. We enjoyed a crab pizza, which was nice for a change of pace. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was decent and I could see it being a nice hangout in the evening with family and friends. All-in-all, it was an enjoyable experience and I would not hesitate to go there again. Don't quote me on this, but I thought I heard from someone that they changed some things on the menu for the better, but I have not confirmed this.
In the area for business and stumbled on to this place. Food was delicious! The salmon was fresh and the glaze delightful. Cami, the waitress was freindly and gave great recommendations.
Very upscale and casual at the same time. I had the chicken sandwich. Very good. Helpful staff.
This is a fantastic restaurant tucked a couple minutes off the beaten path in Cambridge. First of all, the food is amazing. My wife & son got the crab pizza since it got such rave reviews. I was sceptical, but it was amazing. A white pizza with sweet lump crab and just a bit of old bay flavor. I got a spinach salad and that was wonderful. The ambiance is comfortable and subtly artistic, the staff is fast and friendly, and they have a nice beer list. A lot of the others in the restaurant were drinking wine - I regret not getting some myself.
Service was very poor. My friend's coffee was cold. She ordered Old Bay wings and they forgot to put on the Old Bay - REALLY. She asked for them to be cooked well done. They were not. She sent them back and asked to have them removed from the bill. They were not. Had to get the waiter to take them off. In all a very poor showing for a Fanning restaurant.
