Nice stop if your driving through. Clean safe restrooms. Nice walking paths to stretch your legs.
Once you cross the bridge over the Choptank River into Cambridge, the Visitors Center, directly on the right hand side of Rt. 50, welcomes you to the Heart of the Chesapeake. It is an amazing center, far different from the normal welcome centers. The vistas are outstanding and you can also watch a movie about all the things that Dorchester County has to offer while visiting. There are tons of free brochures and even a video about the area that you can purchase. Next to the center is a beach/park and waterfront boardwalk where you walk or relax and watch the passing boats go by.
Fun playground, nice information center, and speed boat race on the river today.
very helpful ladies at the desk today. I was asking about road conditions for a bike route to and from the Harriett Gunman sites. will be doing this ride soon!
I live intown and when it is nice out Me and my kids like to walk down to the beach and go swimming and then after they like to play on the play ground or the swings they have down by the walking path that is by the beach. You can sit on the swings and watch ppl on the lil beach or you can sit and watch the boats go by. We also take something to eat and drink so when we get done we can have lunch and the kids can play after. It's also a good place to have birthday party's in the summer time
I give this 5 stars because it certainly is!
